"The Red Cathedral" is a strategy board game in which players lead construction teams to build St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. Lead your team, assign sections, send resources and complete construction while bypassing your rivals. The Tsar is watching and only the most skilled builder will win his favor. With a beautiful tribute to the art of Ivan Bilibin, this game offers accessible rules and deep strategy for hours of fun.

This game is perfect for lovers of strategic games with accessible rules. Due to the many random factors, the game is different every time. Furthermore, the game contains rules for playing solo.

During the game, players can take one of three actions on their turn: claim a portion of the cathedral, send resources to build it, or go to the market to obtain more resources. Each action has its own mechanic and requires players to pay close attention to what the other players are doing.

Once the parts of the cathedral have been allocated, the players take possession of their share. The more parts a player builds and completes with their own tower, the more points they receive at the end of the game.

Players can send resources to the parts of the cathedral they have claimed. When they send enough resources to complete a section, they receive rewards in the form of money and prestige points. They can also install decorations on the finished parts to gain even more recognition from the Tsar. This part of the game also acts as a clock, because once a player completes the construction of their sixth part, the game ends.

The Red Cathedral is accessible with simple rules and in-depth strategy. It will certainly appeal to those who are more interested in the challenge of strategically optimizing their position than in the complexity of the rules.
