Herrlof is a two-person card game set in the Viking Age. Players aim to win the 'herrlof': a sign of honor and victory. Both players are dealt 15 cards with which they compete for 15 tricks. At the start of each round you predict how many tricks you expect to get. But you do this without your opponent seeing it. This makes it a tactical game, because you want to win exactly the right number of tricks and thus earn bonus points. An additional element in the game are the special powers that the 1, 3, 6 and 9 have. There are also two special power cards: one to consciously lose and the other to destroy the entire battle. Make lemur tails as long as possible and thwart your opponent. Make sure that both tails are as long as possible, because only the shortest tail counts! Players aim to create rainbows to win pots of gold. The value of the pot of gold is indicated on the gold card, as well as the required number of rainbow cards to win this pot of gold. All cards in this row go to your point pile and represent one point per card. However, it's better to make longer lines because you get bonus points. Your job is to properly estimate the loads, use employee favors at the right time and reject contracts if you are not confident. Each round starts with turning over the top donkey card from the draw pile. Each donkey has a specific maximum capacity. It will then be announced what the maximum carrying capacity of this donkey is and whether there are any specific conditions.
