Since then I have been drawn into it, deep into its depths. I paid a stranger more than I should have for manufacturing plans I barely understood. Even worse, they sold the same stuff to my best friend. Now I need to get my supply lines up and running to prepare to ship my cargo. Beer & Bread is a multifunctional card game for two players. The clever structure of alternating rounds puts a fascinating twist on player interaction, card drafting and resource management. Founded on the fertile land of a former monastery, two villages have maintained the twin traditions of beer brewing and bread baking. While they share fields and resources, they still pride themselves on their friendly rivalry to outdo each other's products. Each of you represents one of these villages. Over the course of six years - which are alternately fertile and dry - you must harmonize your tasks: harvesting and storing raw materials, producing beer and bread, selling them for coins and upgrading your facilities. In The Enchanted Towers your goal is to be the first to move all your wizards to the black tower. To achieve this, you must play your hand cards wisely to move your wizards and the various towers on the course. If you capture your opponents' wizards by placing a tower over them, you will receive magic vials as a reward. You can use these bottles once at a later point in the game for extra bonus actions. To free a captured wizard, you must move the tower parts above. The game ends when you have collected five magic vials and all your wizards have reached the black tower. In addition to playing against each other, the game also includes a team game variant in which you work together with other players. Irish Gauge - one of three titles in Winsome Games 2014 Essen Set - is played on a map of Ireland and is similar in style to many of the stock-based cube track games released by Winsome Games since 2007. Each player's turn can trade with one of the five companies up for auction, build a track (represented by cubes) in one of these five companies, upgrade a village to a city, or ask for a dividend. The dividends are paid to shareholders of certain railways based on the number of cities/towns they are connected to and how many shares of this company have been issued. The upgrade and dividend promotions also affect the playing time and the likelihood of further dividends for each company. The game ends when a certain condition is met at the end of a player's turn and the player with the highest sum of money and stock value at the end of that turn wins the game.
