In Le Havre, a player's turn consists of two parts: first, newly delivered goods are distributed among the offering spaces, and then an action is performed. As an action, players can choose to either take all goods of one type from an offering space, or use one of the available buildings. Building actions allow players to upgrade goods, sell them or use them to build their own buildings and ships. Buildings are both an investment opportunity and a source of income, as players must pay an entrance fee to use buildings they do not own. Ships, on the other hand, are mainly used to deliver the food needed to feed the workers. After seven turns, the round ends: players' livestock and grain can multiply through a Harvest, and players must feed their workers. After a fixed number of rounds, each player may perform one final action, after which the game ends. Players add the value of their buildings and ships to their cash reserves. The player who has amassed the greatest fortune is the winner.

For centuries, the Novarchs, descendants of the royal House of Novarchon, have ruled humanity's galactic empire, the Domineum, with an iron fist. During this time, they brought remarkable technological advancements and scientific breakthroughs to their domain. This accelerated progress helped the Domineum reach and colonize even the furthest reaches of the known galaxy, where new Houses emerged to rule the outer sectors of the Empire. As the House of Novarchon grew in power, so did the religious cult surrounding them, making dire predictions about an ancient cosmic being from another dimension: the Voidborn. Many considered it just a myth, but in reality it was the dark influence of the Voidborn that gave the Novarchs the knowledge to accelerate the expansion of the empire. While the sect of the Novarchs dreamed of eternal life through the agency of the supernatural being, the Voidborn's sole purpose was to satisfy its eternal hunger. And so, interdimensional fissures opened in the heart of the Domineum to unleash cosmic corruption. As the House of Novarchon and its followers welcomed the Voidborn and sought their false redemption, the creature spread and seized control of the inner worlds. Now it's time for the remaining Great Houses to fight galactic corruption, prevent the Voidborn from fully manifesting in our dimension, and ultimately overcome the chaos and become the new rulers of the Domineum. Voidfall is a 4X game that brings the genre to the tables of Euro enthusiasts. It combines the excitement and player interaction of the 4X genre with the resource management, informed decisions and minimal luck factor of an economic Euro. Win by pushing back the Voidborn in solo/co-op mode, or by overcoming the influence of your rivals and restoring the Domineum in competitive mode, with both modes using the same rules and game system. Variability is guaranteed by multiple playable houses with their own strengths and weaknesses, as well as many different map setups for all game modes. As the leader, you'll play through three cycles, each with a game-changing galactic event, a new scoring requirement, and a set number of focus cards to play. By selecting two of their three impactful actions as you play them, you develop and improve technologies; make progress on your civilization tracks; manage the infrastructure, population and production of your sectors; and conquer your new sectors with up to five different types of space fleets. Space battles are fought against the infected forces of the Voidborn (who are even present as neutral opponents in competitive mode) or against other players. Instead of relying on the luck of a dice roll, the battles reward careful preparation and cleverly outsmarting your opponents.

This game is highly recommended! The aim of the game is simple: get 5 coins in a row with the cards that your teammate or you will play 1 by 1. The strategic and fun thing about it is that you have to think about your own victory, but also block the opponent. Otherwise it will cost you your victory. The game is very easy to explain to others and is different every time. A small disadvantage: the box looks extremely boring, which initially made my fellow players and I unenthusiastic about playing. Fortunately, the content is good!

Welcome to Encyclopedia! The year is 1739 and as aspiring naturalists and adventurers, you have been hired by the Comte de Buffon - Darwin's predecessor - to help him create the first encyclopedia of natural history. To do this, conduct research, organize ambitious expeditions, and publish studies of the world's most fascinating creatures! Encyclopedia is a dice-based worker placement game. At the start of each round, you draw dice, roll them and place them on your player board. These dice can then be used to perform an action each turn, depending on their color and value. Your action can be to prepare your expeditions by going to the embassy, visiting the bank to raise funds or hiring your research team at the university. When you're ready to go, choose the animal maps you want to study and organize expeditions to observe them in their natural habitat. When your research is complete, you can publish your findings in an effort to contribute to Buffon's Encyclopedia. With each publication you make you earn victory points and at the end of the game you score points based on collections of animals and research collected during play. The naturalist with the most points wins! Encyclopedia was designed by Olivier Melison and Eric Dubus, the authors of Dominations: Road to Civilization and Museum. This expert worker-placement game brings some fascinating new twists to the genre and offers multiple paths to victory. The game also offers a variety of ways to counteract the random element of your dice rolls. Not only can players spend different tokens to change the value or color of a die, but they have more than just their own dice to choose from, as other players' dice can be used too! Taking a die from another player's board costs nothing, but the target player gets a bonus. The game's theme - with beautifully illustrated animal cards - ties in closely with the mechanics, making the rules easy to understand so you can start devising the perfect strategy straight away.

In this fast-paced card game you have to collect points by laying down groups of cards. This is how you create a stack of card groups, such as a group of four cards with the number 2 on top of a group of 3 cards with the number 9. Each card you manage to place in this way is worth one point. But that is not everything! As soon as you have laid down cards, you can steal cards from your opponent. Any player whose top group has a number of cards equal to your group and whose value per card is lower than yours is the loser. Take these cards and take them into your hand, or force your opponent to remove these cards themselves. This way you sabotage each other's points collection. The game is not called Slynx for nothing! Slynx is a very simple game, but packed with tactics. To score more points you must take cards from your opponents into your hand. But the more cards you collect in this way, the more risk you run. As soon as someone has a completely empty hand after laying down their last card, the game is over. All those cards in your hand then automatically turn into penalty points!
