Flower Fields is played over three seasons, each consisting of a variable number of rounds. On your turn, you perform one action: you take flower tiles from the field and place them in your garden, you take bees from the field, or you place bees in your garden. When taking flower tiles, you choose the next tile after the sun marker in the circle around the field, but you can use bees from your reserve to “skip” a tile by placing them on that tile.
Manage your bees wisely and choose the best flower tiles. Flower tiles must be connected to at least one other tile in your garden. Create large flower beds of the same color and use your bees to pollinate them and increase their value. Collect beehives and remove cobwebs to collect more bees at the end of the season. A season ends when the last flower tile is taken from the circle around the field. The game ends after the third season.
You score your most valuable area of each color. Red, yellow, and blue areas score points equal to the number of spaces multiplied by the number of bees in that area. White areas are worth one point per space. Additionally, you get five points for each complete row and/or column in your garden board.
