Life is a challenging adventure or nothing. You're not sure which of the two, but you've narrowed down the choices. You are rich in life experience, but have always had difficulty exchanging this for goods and services.

It's time to seek your fortune, or indeed anyone's, whoever is closest. To the west lies the land of milk and honey, full of giant bees and gigantic cows. In the east the land of eggs and licorice. There are treacherous swamps in the north and alluring jungles in the south. But these have all already been expertly looted.

You have heard legends that tell of a fifth direction that has never been explored. Where treasures are still hidden in the earth. You have your sword and your survival kit, inherited from your ancestors. You've recruited recruits and hired mercenaries, you've polished your armor and reassured your partner.

You hang up a sign that says “On an adventure”. And then another sign with the text “Beware of the dog”, in case some people had the wrong ideas. You saddle your stallion and set off.

This expansion contains 400 cards, 6 tableaus and 60 tokens. 30 new kingdom cards are introduced, including some "durable ones", which are also active in subsequent turns. There are also reserve cards, which you can save for later, and event cards, which allow you to buy things other than cards, such as tokens that change the effects of cards.

Dominion: Adventures can only be played in combination with Dominion. You need the victory and money cards from there.
