The player places his cards on one of the three bird rows on the table. When a player includes more than one bird, he receives these bird cards in his hand.

If the player has the number of cards of the same bird type in hand to form a small or large flock, he may play them and keep 1 or 2 cards (depending on the flock) in front of him.
