At the start of Endless Winter you are in charge of a hunter-gatherer group, which you must help develop into a civilized tribal community throughout the game. You do this by exploring, traveling around, expanding your tribe, hunting big game and building megaliths, large stone buildings. Downstream is an expansion of the game Endless Winter: Paleoamericans. Downstream cannot be played without the base game. In Downstream you canoe across the river, catch fish and receive points for landmarks on the terrain board. Endless Winter: Downstream adds an additional ability to the terrain board. Move your canoe along the river and receive points during the eclipse phase for having the most influence on the terrain tiles and the estuary. This expansion also includes a new animal type and a new type of tribe cards.
