Emberleaf is a competitive board game that combines card combinations and tile placement.
As a courageous Emberling, your mission is to rebuild your home, deep in the heart of an ancient forest. To succeed, you will need to explore the forest, gather resources, clear dangerous areas, and build new homes for your people. Along the way, you will recruit heroes into your party, each with unique skills that strengthen your team. But beware – space in the forest is limited, and other Emberlings have their own plans.
The game introduces a unique mechanism called ‘card dancing,’ where you place hero cards within a moving grid to activate abilities and strengthen your party. By shifting cards, you can trigger powerful combinations and charge them at the perfect moment for even greater effects. Additionally, you build colorful villages by placing tiles that cater to the diverse needs of your villagers. By recruiting new heroes, you not only expand your abilities but also strengthen your existing party, creating a strong engine-building element. As you traverse the forest, you must also strategically manage resources, clear dangerous areas, and carefully plan how to deploy your assets.
